Moto g84 review
Moto has launched a new smartphone and it is beautiful. Moto has introduced another smartphone to its g line-up, Moto g84.It is available in 3 color options and the viva magenta color which was introduced in flagship offerings of moto has come to the mid-range section and it’s just beautiful. Other than the viva magenta, two more color options are available, marshmallow blue and midnight blue. Let's see if it is our money.

The front camera is a 16MP one.
It features a 10bit 120Hz pOLED display which unlike an Amoled display has the pixels lined up in groups and they also light up in individual group or strips, not entirely individually like Amoled. Hope you got it.
The machine is powered by Snapdragon 695 chipset which is based on 6 nm architecture and comes with a 5G modem. If we go by AnTuTu standards it gives a score of 397760 which is pretty good for a performance for mid rangers not the best one but combined with other specs it is a value for money performance. If optimized well you can play games like Call of Duty in high max graphic setting. It all depends on how well the OEMs optimize their offerings for gaming.
The smartphone comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which is more than enough to keep your activities going throughout the day. 12GB RAM is a bit excess for smartphones considering we only use 2 or max 3 applications simultaneously. Don’t ever be sold on numbers but take note of the type and speed of the RAM and ROM which matter the most. It uses Ultra-fast storage or UFS 2.2 which is current most used storage type and it is good.
The phone has a 50MP main camera which also has optical image stabilization. It will come in hand when you are shooting videos which will make your videos stutter proof. As for speakers it has dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos.
It is powered by a 5000mAh battery which supports 33W charging, by estimation it should charge your device in an hour and a half.
The most important question for geeks is for how long is this phone supported in software department which is one of the weaknesses of Moto. It comes preinstalled with a clean near stock-like android 13 and it will get another major upgrade to android 14, Which is not good but it comes with 3 years of security update, that means you use this phone for three years and after that this thing becomes unsafe in these modern times where cyber threats have become dominant. ₹20,000 for 3 years, well not bad for rich people but not exactly good for people of humble background.
The final verdict is, you should definitely buy this beautiful phone but if you are concerned about the length of safe use then go for smartphones like Samsung M34. It has really good spec sheet and has a long lifespan of 4-5 years but the downside for it is design and charging speed.
